The Internet is a wonderful tool and resource for information. There is plenty of free stuff that is really valuable to help with our fitness and health but on the downside there is also scary, non-beneficial, and dangerous stuff. This stuff sometimes is portrayed as really great stuff and to many people it even looks cool. You may even incorporate it into you fitness regime and without knowing it may be doing you harm. Remember the Number 1 rule in training is to do no harm!!!
Be careful at what you look up on the net and if you ever have any questions about whether it is safe, worthwhile and beneficial, forward the clip on to us at Hybrid and we can have a quick look for you. By all means access the internet, learn and use the info but just be cautious, if you are not sure please ask.
For example I was on a fitness forum today and I have come across these two videos that are dangerous and not beneficial. The first one is teaching bad mechanics as one major fault in the snatch is jumping forward, this guy is instructing this guy to jump forward. Not only that imagine if he misses, falls back on the bar, bar knocks him out etc. However to people out there that do not know much about the snatch movemnet it would look pretty cool, I am sure many have given it a go. Wonder how many have been busted up by it and developed a poor movement pattern for snatching!!
The second, I bet many have tried after watching this, My advice on this, cover your eyes, don't watch this shit!!
