NO MERE Mortal Challenge 2013
Sunday 19th May will be the 2ndinstalment of the annual challenge “The No Mere Mortal”. The event will commence at 7am sharp and will take around 4hrs to complete (this will depend on total entries). We will endeavour to be all finished by 11am. Anyone that comes to Hybrid to train is capable of doing the events so those people uncertain should not be and should take part.
The events will be fairly short in duration but still challenging. Here is a quick rundown of what the “No Mere Mortal” challenge is all about.
· The event is fun but challenging!!
· The event is made up of 3 separate workouts
· To enter you must dress as a superhero (this is open to your interpretation)
· For each workout you will receive a “game changer” card, a randomly selected card for each competitor which will either make the event easier or harder (or give you an advantage or disadvantage). Remember this is a gym challenge with emphasis on community and positive interaction, regardless of the card you get you accept it and enjoy the challenge that lies ahead.
· You will be judged and you must respect the judge, remember that for this to be done with integrity the movement standards need to be adhered to by everyone.
· All events will be in heats and heat participation scheduling will be organised randomly before the event
· The winner of the day will be the person with the lowest accumulative score after results from each workout are compiled
The event was a great day last year and everyone competed with high regard for themselves and others; this is exactly what we are looking for again this year.
Entries will close Tuesday.
There may be a cap put on entries and Hybrid members will have preference in participating over non-members.
We are also looking for people to help on the day, doing judging, helping with set-up, scoring etc. If you are keen to help on the day please let Shaun know asap.
